CURRENT STATE

Employees stretched thin, multi-tasking to meet production targets, have very little time to think about improvement, working to earn a paycheck. Folks tend to accept their situation as status quo. Firefighting becomes normal day to day activity, result in missed deliveries, poor quality, increased cost and ultimately reduced profit.

70% of Operational activities are non-value added, falls into the typical 7 Wastes, moreover, the 8th waste of not capitalizing on your employees workers ideas and knowlege, can be most significant. Chances are they know about these issues, have raised the concern, but have given up on trying to fix it.

Engineering folks do not have CI experience and Operations leaders cannot see the problems clearly, and tend to focus on the wrong issues.

Determine the top, most complex, bottle-neck processes, and let 3PS analyse the work content.
3PS will provide your team with current state feedback, document how much Waste exist within your Process, and then we will make proposals to reduce or even eliminate. Your decision to implement, but at least you and your team will have data to review, and make the decision to implement.

There are many reasons why folks do not embrace change or new ideas easily. Many books have been written on this topic, in the final analysis, we need to fully understand the current state, before we can make proposals for change, 100% buy-in from everyone is key.

Stopping the process to implement change is a major decision, and will have impact on Operations team, this risk is significant. The process may be broken, but at least we`re doing something. To stop means lost momentum, and extra effort to restart if solution does not work.
